帝使葡萄作酒浆，孰云藤蔓乱常纲？
信知天赐终为福，但恐人谋竟是殃。
注：○原文云：“酿此酒浆者既为上帝之稼，孰云藤蔓为网罗哉？赐之福，何不享为？降之灾，谁之过欤？”译文但用饰言一二耳。
Why, be this Juice the growth of God, who dare
Blaspheme the twisted tendril as a Snare?
A Blessing, we should use it, should we not?
And if a Curse——why, then, Who set it there?
